An office building in a centre of Vilnius that proposes a different work environment and blends in with authentic context and traditional architecture. The volume is reminiscent of a classical house shape, that is so prominent in old town architecture of Vilnius, as well as has a presence of a contemporary building, that highlights it’s era and new architectural values. By slicing it’s east side, the office opens up towards Dainavos street and creates a smaller visual impact on an otherwise very tight site.
It’s connection to a traditional house, or home, is also reflected in the interior and public space on the ground floor. We tried to create a cozy, home-like environment which is both inviting the public and is attractive for office employees. Therefore, the building tries to open up and relate to a more human scale of things.
